Day 13 Recap
Today was the Grand Canyon day. There were some problems though: 1. We slept in very late because we were up late the night before. 2. We got stuck in traffic in Las Vegas because we wanted to see a couple things we hadn’t walked by the night before. 3. We got stuck in traffic going across the Hoover Dam because it is a tourist attraction, a two-lane road, but also a state highway. It didn’t help that they were also doing road construction there. Here are some Las Vegas and Hoover Dam pictures:
I’ve been to the Grand Canyon before, so there’s not a whole lot for me to say, especially after only being there an hour or so. We were there for the sunset, which is really hard to get a picture of when you’re standing on the top of the canyon. I did the best I could though.
I had thought all along that there was no way we’d spend the night in Northern Arizona. We would see the Grand Canyon and then go south to Phoenix or Tucson. It wouldn’t matter that my relatives were out of town since we wouldn’t be anywhere near Williams. But because we got to the canyon so late, our plans changed. Where did we end up staying? Williams, Arizona. Oh, well.

I know this is late, but where did you stay in Williams? Sorry we weren’t there to see you. You guys didn’t see the IMAX at Grand Canyon, did you? See any elk?
